New Developments

Bee Sting

Work Picnic

John's work picnic was today. It was along the Bay but I think we were actually at a man made lake a bit inland. The wind was up but the sun was warm. It was a nice place with golf and lots of boating, kayaks and paddle boats. We had bergers with various salads and brownies. Very yummy food. Derek and John were going to go on a sail boat ride when !!!!!!! I got stung by a bee :( I almost used my epipen but I waited a bit and managed to get the stinger out. I don't think she got too deep because there was no swelling. My hand does hurt like the devil though. John and I decided to skip the ER this time and keep a close eye on it. Sorry no cool boating pics but at least there are no ER pics!!! ;)

Got to love ADHD

In true adhd form I spent what I thought was going to be 10 min. but turned in to 2 hours of watering the plants?!! LOL What really happened was watering and repotting the kitchen plants, cleaning the counter and windows behind the plants, cleaning out a cabinet in the kitchen (really not sure what happened there) and vacuuming the bedroom. Heh. . .

Summer Camp

We are back from summer camp. It was quite a week. Both boys finished several merit badges and I was certified in Water and Swim Rescue. We had some great campfires and lots of laughing!

Yum Yum Garden Fresh

Veggie's from the garden are so delish. I have never had such a wonderful cucumber. I was so tickled to cut into the first fruits of my labor. It looked like a cucumber inside!!! It's one thing to buy vegetables at the store but when you plant it, weed it and water it, food is entirely different. It was like eating a cucumber for the first time. I reconnected with my childhood (my mom always has a huge garden with tons of veggie's) and with food :)

New Instrument

Derek decided last year to try a new instrument. He is in private lessons this summer and hopes to be in concert band in the fall.

Juno Loves Racing

Juno's favorite toy in the house besides Derek is Derek's slot cars. Every time any one sits on the couch she trots in hoping to play.
