We are all very sad tonight. Our pet guinea pig Pigpig died this evening. Even though sometimes we lamented having to clean his cage we loved him dearly. He was a good pig. One of the boys favorite games with him was Spy Pig. He never bit and always made happy pig noises when we fed and played with him.
Goodbye Pig, we love you.

When I was raising my kids we had 2 pet guinea pigs Frisky--male-- and Sassy--female-- They wer great fun. ate a lot of lettuce and dandelion tops besides their food--and everytime we opened the fridge or they heard plastic rustle they started squealing. My kids kept putting them together and they were always having babies. Did ya know they come out with hair and their eyes opened and can eat food--they still nursed though. It was no problem as the pet store would take them off your hands. You brought back some fond memories. Sassy died with her 6th littler and it was sooooooooo sad. Hugs to you.
