Stitches

Jen and I sent to Stitches knitting convention on Saturday. It was a blast. We met Jessy and Casey!
They started Ravelry, a knitting and crocheting community on the internet. That was very cool to, only they did not bring Bob :( (their absolutely adorable dog who frequents Ravelry). This year i did not buy very much because i have not used ANY of the yarn i bought last year.

Derek says, "Thanks Gran for the kite".

At the Park

We went to the park to try out Derek's kite. It was to gusty so instead the boys played on the swings.

Wednesday was Derek's birthday. We started at home with pizza and soda, then went to jump at the Sky High Sports and then back to the house for cake, ice cream and gifts. He got a DS game from friends, a cool kite from Gran, a Wii game from Mom&Dad and an awesome book about the universe from Grandmommy and Papa.

Worms are hard to keep alive

Well worm composting is really hard. They say newspaper is good for bedding but for me it just won't work. Most my worms have died and much of the food started roting. I was really good about not giving them to much but they did not seem to eat it. The only thing they really liked was the coffee grounds. they did make some babies but i never saw any worm castings (Poo). I set the rest free in the back yard. I hope some of them live. If i try again i might get the worm bedding that they sell with the worms or maybe a small layer of dirt. As with plants i can't seem to keep them alive. So far the biggest thing i can keep alive is a guinea pig. :( Oh well.
