I got most of his costume done. Enough to put away the sewing machine. Again i need to put in gromits but so far i am to chicken. One of my friends pointed out that because he is playing a village child if I put a hole in the shirt it will probably be more realistic. ;)
now we just need brown hose and black converse shoes. Oh and i think she said try not to cut this hair to short. LOL

Terrible, horribel, No Good, Very Bad Week
Do you ever have one of those weeks where everything goes bad then you joke about something else going wrong then the next day it happens.
Yeah that.
So the week started out with the car getting a recall, the fridge breaking and the plasma tv going on the fritz.
The Car: It needs a recall so i call the dealer and make an appointment. I bring it in and they say it needs the 60,000 check up. I say okay blah blah blah. I get a loaner car. I ask can they please not give me a Jetta. The bottom of the car seat has this hard plastic and it is VERY unconformable getting in and out. He said no problem how about a Passat. No problem i have one so i will be firmilar with it. LOL yeah right. He checks it over and the gas then i am on my way. I try and get on the highway. The WRONG highway going the WRONG direction. This is soooo typical of me. So i drive a bit trying to find a easy place to turn around when my butt really starts getting hot. I mean HOT. Crap this car has seat warmers and i can't figure out how the hell to get it turned off. Then the car starts beeping at me! It says i am driving 75 and that is over the speed limit. But people are passing me!!! and i am going the wrong way and my BUTT is hot.
The Fridge: The freezer is cold but the fridge is getting warm. Hmmmmm I call my handyman Frank and he gives me the name of a good frige company. What luck someone canceled and they can have someone out by 10. Cool. lol That was a pun. So he comes and finds the problem right away but in order to replace the broken part he needs to melt about an inch of ice on the back of the freezer. The thingy that regulates the self thaw broke.
The TV: It won't turn on. :( It's very sad for us.
So that was my week. Oh wait, did i mention the water line that broke under the sink this morning, flooding the kitchen. Yeah that to.

Mysterious Rash
Max was trying on his costume pants this morning when i saw that he had a rash ALL over his legs. I asked him how long he had it and he said since yesterday. I called the Doctor and we got in right away, except we had to drive 40 min to get there but we made it back in time for a substantial snack and play practice.
Max has a viral cold that is manifesting itself as among other things a rash. The doctor cleared him for play practice. *whew*
Today is enchanted war day. He doesn't want to miss that! They will be practicing lots of stage combat and it's his favorite part ;)

Po decideds to sew
Po had decided to change her job description from Quality Control to Seamstress.
The pants are mostly done. They need to have a hem and be sized to Max's waist. Oh and they want patches. I've never done them before but maybe Po has some ideas!
Also i need to do the gromits on the shirt, just need to work up the courage ;)

Shirt Is almost done.
Well I just need to do one more sleeve. The sleeve is sewn and the cuff is on i just need to attach it. I also need to do some hand sewing on both cuffs. The pants will not take long, i do need to find out however how long they should be. I think they want them over the ankle not just below the knee. Also i need to find out if the collar needs to be tacked at the front, OH and gromits. I will need the little machine that does that. Hmm i guess i need to find out to what they want the cord out of. That will be a pain to try and sew. I hope i can use leather. Maybe i will just put leather in and they won't say anything, pft.

Fry Bread
Here is Max's piece. Derek decided to have cheese on his piece but we figured Max would like sugar. After having flattened it with both rolling pin and just fingers, I like the finger method better. Well i guess it depends how you like your bread. The hand method makes it puff up more which i think is kinda fun to eat ;)
Oh! Derek and i also made one piece filled with cheese. That was really fun. We both were expecting it to explode. It didn't :( While it would have made a mess it would have been fun to see.

Indian Fry Bread
Last night Derek and I made Indian fry bread. He made it last month with his cub scout troop and wanted to try it again. I thought it would be a fun Friday night activity. Max had play practice but we saved him a piece.
Which brings me to the huge event taking place this weekend and many more to come. I've started Max's costume for Beauty and the Beast. It took about 4 hours of finding and driving to collect all the materials. Now i am wetting and drying the fabric and i just got done with cutting out the interface. My Mom will be proud! I am being very good about following all the steps and i am marking everything. And although i am being very careful, there maybe some hysterical phone calls to Iowa ;)
